Andrew Wells joined Holowesko Partners Ltd. in 2020. Andrew is Director of Technology responsible for maintaining the technical infrastructure of the firm. This includes cross-platform support, establishing and maintaining relationships with vendors, and managing and supporting local and cloud-based infrastructure. Andrew transitioned to HPL from Templeton Global Advisors Ltd., where he worked in the IT department for 17 years supporting the technical infrastructure for a number of Templeton’s global offices as well as HPL, an affiliated company.
Prior to the transition and during the onset of the pandemic, Andrew created a process to decrypt several thousand computers globally. This operation allowed Templeton and Holowesko to avoid replacing much of its aging hardware and instead upgrade operating systems and relevant applications just before and during the pandemic. Andrew was also tasked with the responsibility of ensuring that employees were equipped with the necessary hardware to work from home while ensuring the security groundwork was impenetrable. As a result, HPL’s staff members are able to securely function remotely.
Andrew is a graduate of Dorsett College in Dublin, Ireland, and he began his IT career in 2000 as a Network Administrator.
